Neil Armstrong deserves a monument in Washington DC. "Neil A. Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5, 1930. He began his NASA career in Ohio." - www.nasa.gov. Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon. He began his NASA career in Ohio, and it would be significant for him to have his own monument in Washington DC. For the US to send a man to the moon was very significant at that time in the US history. Overall Neil Armstrong deserves a statue in Washington DC.
If you really want something in life, you need to earn it. "A record 94,708,000 Americans were not in the labor force in May of 2016" http://www.cnsnews.com/. There is millions of people that do not have jobs in the US. Some of them don't even try to find a job. You got to try, to get the job. You need to grab life by the horns, and get yourself a job. People need to earn there way into a job. If you squeeze the fruit you will get the juice. You need to put the effort into what your doing to earn the juice of whatever you want. So what are you waiting for? Get off your butt and get working!
When do you think the next 9/11 will be? When Apple refused to help the FBI terrorist could be getting away with making plans for the next attack. Apple should not have refused to help FBI. Only people that they would want to hack is the terrorist. The FBI is trying to protect the Americans.
The FBI is asking for Apple's help. The next terrorist attack could happen at any minute. Even though the FBI wants to hack terrorist phones, Apple wants to prevent this and keep their name brand. The FBI does not care what is on our phones, but they do want to know what's on the terrorist phones. “San Bernardino, California, terrorists, in no way lessens the importance of Apple’s position in the matter.” After the terrorist, Rizwan Farook, shot and killed 14 people, it proved how the FBI could have saved the people's lives. The FBI is not breaching the privacy of Americans but is doing so to the terrorist within our country. “Cook responded to the FBI’s request in December with an open letter labeling the request a “breach of privacy” with “chilling consequences” for free speech.” The FBI hacking phones is not a breach of security. Instead, it is a way to stop the terrorist activities from happening in our own country. As the FBI urges Apple to allow them to have software to hack phones, more and more terrorist plans are being made. What the FBI wants to do is breach the terrorist privacy. Apple should aid the FBI in their search for the terrorist. “Yes, the Fourth Amendment also says the government has a right to search if it has a warrant and probable cause. But it does not say that third parties can be conscripted to aid the government in its searches.” The FBI is asking the help of Apple to aid their search for terrorist living throughout the country. The Aid of Apple will open up a new reality of terrorist being stopped. We need the Aid to save the US from the next 9/11. The FBI is trying to protect the Americans from the next terrorist attack. The only privacy they want to breach is the terrorist. Apple should aid the FBI in their search for the terrorist. They are wrong in their decision to refuse the FBI was wrong. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. ~Chinese Proverb~" There are not that many things I am an expert on, but I do know about fishing. Fishing was ranked 8th in sports popularity - www.sfia.org. There are many different techniques to fishing, but it still takes skill.
Fishing has evolved since thousands of years ago. According to www.oldmaster85.com “Like hunting, fishing originated as a means of providing food for survival.” People started to fish for food and survival, but now it is mostly for food and recreation. Just like today, people had to find out where the fish were, what the weather is like, how to approach them, and what kind of bait that. should be used. “The first rudimentary reel had consisted of a wooden spool with a metal ring that fitted over the angler's thumb” according to www.oldmaster85.com. Fishing reels were co improved by stronger fishing which held a fish on the hook. Rods were also improved from wood long ago, and now into glass, graphite, carbon, sometimes fiberglass, and even composite. When people started fishing they had to test different methods, and most of the time they failed. One thing that has been improved over thousands of years is the rod. You should have your hand right up to the reel. You need to hold the end of the rod in your elbow, so you have maximum control of the rod. Your rod length will determine your distance and accuracy. A longer rod improves your distance, and a shorter improves your accuracy. You should always face your target while casting. While your motion needs to be nice and smooth, then close up your arch when aligned with your target. When you are putting your rod into the water, you need to know what you are casting. A spoon is a piece of metal like a spoon with a hook on the back, and these are used for pikes and trout and sometimes in rare occasions bass. A spinner is another type of bait that is flashy underwater to attract fish. This bait is most effective in a river. Soft baits are made to look like real prey, and great for bass. The jig has a skirt, and sometimes a trailer hook with a skirt. Plugs are made to look like fish. Buzzbait is like a jig but is the combination with a spinner. When you cast you can control a bait in a certain way to attract fish. It is always good to know how to fish if you find yourself in a certain situation. "Alvarenga had been fishing since he was a child. That ingrained skill would now keep him and Córdoba alive."-according to www.cnn.com. This man survived 438 days without a hook or line but still used fishing techniques to survive. There is always small chance that there might be a life or death situation. Fishing is also very fun for recreation and is a competitive sport. You can compete in MLF fishing tournaments and much more for prize money. “My first three years in the sport were around $130,000 a year.”- Professional Bass Fisherman Greg Bohannan There are many different techniques to fishing, but it still takes skill. Fishing has been mastered over thousands of years for survival, and today it is mostly for recreation. The technique is key to your success in fishing. Just holding the rod wrong will mess up your experience. It is always good to know how to fish if you find yourself in a certain situation. The man named “Alvarenga”, only survived because he knew a lot of fishing techniques. I like fishing, and you should try it too. Works Cited "5 Secret Buzzbait Tricks." Bassmaster. Web. 07 Feb. 2017. Although people get stressed out, many of them are glad to be famous. "Turns out, the happiness that comes from fame is fleeting." -Scope: Can Fame and Fortune Make You Happy?. The happiness of being famous can last a long time or a short time depending on what kind of person you are. It depends on the stress. Look at Ariana Grande. She does fine under pressure, but others have meltdowns. Many underestimate their luck of being famous, so you got to ask yourself. Are you the right kind of person for being famous?
It takes the right kind of person to be famous. "Clearly, not all stars crumble under the pressures of fame. Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Will Smith, and Justin Timberlake—all of whom became famous as teens—seem to be doing fine." People that are famous need to be able to handle a lot of stress and pressure. Some of the stars today are not able to handle the stress of people always watching you. If you were a star and had more mone than what you know what to do with, but can not handle the stress. Why do you still do it? Most people don't like the stress. "Jennifer Lawrence said that simply stepping outside her front door gives her anxiety. Indeed, famous people can’t so much as walk their dogs or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, tweeted about, or Instagrammed." There have been stars having meltdowns and apologizing for all the bad things they have done in the past. "Lately, however, it seems like the 22-year-old has been spending most of his time apologizing for his bad behavior." According to the scope magazine- Can Fame Make you happy. You also need to be smart and understand what comes with being famous."To make friends according to Rockwell, it can be difficult for a celebrity to trust others and to make and keep true friends. Stars have to wonder if their “friends” like them for who they are or for what they have." Celebrities need to be careful about who they hang out with because their friends could be phonies and only like them for their money. Being smart and being able to handle stress is needed to be famous. Many underestimate their luck of being famous, so you got to ask yourself. Are you the right kind of person for being famous? It takes the right kind of person to be famous. Most people don't like the stress and say it gives them anxiety. Overall tough I am going to stick with my opinion about being famous would be awesome. Before Mr.Oney taught us about the geology of Earth, I was very naive on the concept. We were learning about the different zones on Earth, Erosion, and Deposition. We learned that one day the supercontinent Pangea broke apart into many different plates, with lots of faults in between. Volcanoes and earthquakes garnished the whole Earth. The volcanoes were obliterating all around the ring of fire. Once the Earth was gratified with its form, the continents took form. I find this interesting, but I don’t think it will be my niche in life. I apathy the thought of studying the topic of Geology and Erosion. Since I don’t like Geology, I hope you will empathy my decision to do what I want.
We did a lot of fun things During Christmas Break. My cousin was home for Christmas, and we spent a lot of time with my family. On Christmas Eve it has always been a tradition to get a pair of pajamas for Christmas from my parents. On Christmas day I got the most things for Christmas I have ever gotten. On New Year's Eve, we spent the night at my grandma and grandpa's house with our cousin.
I had a blast during Christmas break. Since I got a new basketball and a pair of dribbling glasses, I have been spending a lot of time in my barn dribbling and shooting around. I am also excited for baseball this year since I got a batting cage to go with our batting cage. I hope that I do better in baseball and basketball in the future. My family got a new PS4 slim for Christmas. The games we got were Uncharted 4, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Nba 2K17. On New Years Day we had the Beverley's over for dinner, and Trey and I played Nba 2K17. Overall I had fun during Christmas break. I got more items for Christmas than I thought I would, and had fun relaxing over the time we were on the break. Now it's time to go back through, so I am glad to get back to my normal routine and continue the school year. Civil Engineer in the Air Force
Although I’m only 14 years old, I know what I want to be when I grow up. I have always liked making and fixing items with my hands. I like to be inside the garage working on projects with my hands instead of being inside playing games. Currently I’m getting A’s and B’s which accounts for my 3.8 GPA in eighth grade. I will hopefully increase my study habits in high school because I want to attend Bowling Green State University and get an ROTC and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When I grow up, I want to be a Civil Engineer in the US Air Force. I will become a Civil Engineer for the Air Force by attending Bowling Green State University to get a ROTC and Civil Engineering degree. During highschool I will take as many math classes I can, and attempt to get at least a 3.8 GPA. I will have to increase my study habits, and do my best to understand what my teacher tells me. Once I graduate highschool, I will apply to go to BGSU to obtain a ROTC and Civil Engineering degree. To become a civil engineer in the Air Force it is required you have a bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, environmental, construction, architectural, industrial or mechanical engineering. I will do my best at paying attention to my professors, and study way more than what I do now. Once I get the degrees I will go into the Air Force. To achieve my goal of being a Civil Engineer, I need to pay attention in college. It will require a lot of different skills to become a civil engineer in the Air Force according to https://www.airforce.com/careers/detail/civil-engineer . I will need to have knowledge of engineering and construction. I will need to have a minimum 12 months’ experience in subspecialty field which is a medical course i will need to take. I can not be taller than 6’8”, or have a record of claustrophobia or emotional instability. Even though if I still have all of these skills, I will still need to go to an Air Force Academy (AFA). Being an Engineer in the Air Force will take me to many different places on the Earth. Even though I will live in Ohio over the time I am at home, I could be stationed in Japan, the US, Germany, Turkey, Afghanistan, Guam, and many more in the meantime according to time.com. 23,600 job s a year is opened to be a regular civil engineer. The typical Air Force Civil Engineer salary is $78,049. Civil Engineer salaries at US Air Force can range from $51,360-$104,000 according to www.glassdoor.com. There will always be opportunity to move up in the Air Force. If I was to stay in this career I would need to work this job for 20 years then retire at age 42-44. What I learned about my future is that I need to start paying attention in school especially now since i am going into highschool next year. My grades will affect my chances of going to BGSU and getting a degree in Civil Engineering. In this career I will have enough money to live off of and pay all the things career day has shown me.
